Avoid the Sunday Blues and Relax on Sunday

Many people since childhood see Sunday as the end of the weekend and are filled with dread for the week ahead. Before our free time is over, we’re already stressed about what’s to come! However, with such busy lives, we need to make the most of all the free time we get, so here are a few tips for making the most out of every minute of Sunday:

Enjoy a Long Soak and a Book

Pamper yourself ahead of the working week with a long soak in the bath. Put on a face mask, add your favorite bubbles and sit with a glass of wine and that book you’ve been meaning to read for months. Exfoliate with a luxurious body scrub, lather yourself in moisturizer and put on fresh pajamas. Bonus points if you put on fresh bed sheets for the best night’s sleep!

Take a Walk

Get some fresh air to clear your head for the week ahead! Getting back to nature is a great way to relieve the stresses of daily life. Enjoy the colors of autumn and the crisp crunch of fallen leaves. Breathe in the fresh air and focus your mind on the sound and smells of nature. After building up an appetite, treat yourself to lunch on your way home!

Enjoy Family Time

Spending quality time with the ones you love make the daily grind worth it. Build a fort and make movie day with the whole family, or grab some snacks and have an afternoon of board games. Coming together to reconnect is a great way to relax before everyone gets caught up with work and school!

Plan Your Week

Use this Sunday to plan your week to make sure that next Sunday you don’t have to do anything! Whether it’s meal planning or scheduling important milestones in your work, aim to have one day completely free from your regular responsibilities. Since we’re so used to being on call 24/7 it can be difficult, but with a little planning, you’ll soon get used to your new routine!
